VPBank Introduces Apple Pay for VPBank JCB Cardholders

Starting today, VPBank officially rolls out Apple Pay for its JCB credit cardholders. Apple Pay offers an easy, secure, and private way to pay in stores, online, and within apps.

For in-store payments, customers simply double-click the side button, authenticate, and hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near the payment terminal to complete a contactless transaction. Every Apple Pay transaction is secured with Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode, along with a unique, dynamic security code. Apple Pay is accepted at grocery stores, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, cafes, retail stores, and many other locations.

Customers can also use Apple Pay on iPhone, iPad, and Mac for faster, more convenient purchases within apps or on the web using Safari, eliminating the need to create accounts or repeatedly enter shipping and billing information.

Security and privacy are core to Apple Pay. When customers use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card number is not stored on the device or on Apple servers. Instead, a unique, encrypted Device Account Number is assigned and securely stored in the Secure Element— an industry-standard certified chip designed to safely store payment information on the device.

Setting up Apple Pay is simple. On an iPhone, just open the Apple Wallet app, tap the plus sign (+), and follow the on-screen steps to add your VPBank Z JCB credit card. Customers can also add their card directly from the VPBank NEO iOS app and follow the instructions. Once the card is added to an iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac, customers can start using Apple Pay on that device immediately. Customers will continue to receive all the rewards and benefits from their VPBank Z JCB card, including up to 30% off at over 100 restaurants across Vietnam.

Customers can easily open a VPBank Z JCB credit card directly through the VPBank NEO app or at any VPBank counter. Additionally, first-time Apple Pay users with a VPBank Z JCB card will receive a VND 50,000 cashback for transactions of VND 200,000 or more.
